Draft plans for a Haviland's Cove Park renovation, unveiled in 2024 and designed by LaBella, include upgrades to the current playing fields, playground accessibility, increased walking paths, fishing docks over the Hudson River, security cameras, kayak rental kiosks, an upgrade to the bathhouse, and connections to the Pruyn’s Island Path trail.
At the time, the cost of the renovation was $4 million dollars, with Glens Falls garnering a $2 million dollar commitment from New York State through Assemblymember Carrie Woerner.
Currently, the Planning and Development Committee is working on continuing to ensure this vision becomes a reality.
